Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos: 2021 Week 6 offensive grades

Running Backs

This was by far the best performance by either running back in the entire season.  All season long the running game has been a big problem, whether it was Jacobs being hurt, or the offensive line not being able to open up holes, but neither of those was a problem today.

Josh Jacobs had his biggest rushing game of the season with 53 yards adding a touchdown and even catching a surprise screen pass and taking that 29 yards.  This has probably been the healthiest Jacobs has been at any point this season, and if the offensive line improvements continue, then Jacobs will continue to do well on the ground.

Kenyan Drake has been highly criticized since being signed by the Raiders this offseason, especially because of the money he will be making next season, but if he was used properly while Jacobs was out, he probably would’ve had more production heading into this game. Drake scored two touchdowns of more than 20 yards one through the air and one on the ground.

The Raiders need to keep feeding Drake touches because of the explosive plays that can come from that.
