Raiders: 3 potential Marcus Mariota trades with the Cleveland Browns

Trade 2: Marcus Mariota for Ronnie Harrison Jr. and a 2022 5th round pick

Cleveland has a lot of young players in the defensive backs group, such as the LSU alumni Grant Delpit and Greedy Williams. And since Roderic Teamer has just been placed on the IR with Trayvon Mullen and Damon Arnette, Las Vegas may feel it necessary to add another defensive back to the group.

Las Vegas has already added veteran corner Desmond Trufant to help with the team’s loss of Mullen and Arnette. If they want to add another veteran presence to the young group of safeties, then getting Harrison may be the way to go.

This season, Harrison has 11 solo tackles and a sack. Adding him to the roster, even as just a rotational piece, could benefit the team’s secondary.

And as far as contracts go, this is a similar situation to the possible McDowell trade. Las Vegas can get Mariota off of the payroll and replace him with the much cheaper Harrison, who is only owed a little over $2.1 million for this season. And if Harrison doesn’t work out for Vegas, then they can be done with him when his contract expires after the season.
