With Baker Mayfield possibly done for the year, here are three potential trades the Raiders could make with the Cleveland Browns for Marcus Mariota.
On Wednesday morning, it was announced that the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback Baker Mayfield would be not playing on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. Mayfield has been playing these last few games with a partially torn labrum on his left shoulder.
While it is surely painful, Mayfield has been able to play through it since it’s on his non-throwing arm. But this past Sunday, the damage proved to be too much.
Mayfield was forced to exit halfway through the game before eventually returning. And even though he was able to fight through the remainder of the game, his arm isn’t in good enough condition to play this Thursday.
So, Cleveland will be playing this Thursday with Case Keenum at the helm.
There’s no telling how Keenum will do. He’s had moments in the past where he has been solid, but he has struggled with consistency. And there may be a chance that Mayfield is out for an extended period, and even if he isn’t, then Cleveland may be in the quarterback. They may look to the Las Vegas Raiders, who have one of the best backup quarterbacks in the league, Marcus Mariota.
Here are three possible trades involving Cleveland and Las Vegas.
