Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Keys to victory against Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7
Get Josh Jacobs going early
This past weekend, we got to see a glimpse of the Josh Jacobs we are used to, as he looked to be running the ball without pain, and ended up with a season-high 53 yards. While that may not seem like a ton of yardage for a Pro Bowl running back, Jacobs is getting back to 100 percent after injuries and an illness, so the expectation is that he is only going to get more productive.
We saw Kenyan Drake play a huge role in the offense in Week 6, hauling in a touchdown pass, and rushing one in. In Week 7, my expectation would be that the Raiders will try and establish the run game with Josh Jacobs, and they would be wise to do it early and often against one of the worst run defenses in all of football.
The Eagles may be solid when it comes to protecting against the pass, but when it comes to run defense, the Raiders should be able to find plenty of holes. If Jacobs is back to being 100 percent, and they lean on him in a big way on Sunday, his first 100-yard game has to be a real possibility as the team heads to their bye week, hopefully, 5-2.
