3 reasons the Raiders will beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7

Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake vs Eagles run defense

When it comes to the Eagles’ defense, they are no doubt strong against the pass, as Darius Slay may just be the best cornerback in the entire NFL this season. However, they struggle mightily against the run, and if the Raiders were wise, they would pound the Eagles early on with a steady dose of both Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake.

Both running backs looked a lot better with Greg Olson calling the plays last week, as Jacobs rushed for a season-high 53 yards, and Drake scored in the run and passing game. Against Philadelphia, the Raiders need to establish the run, as that will not only get them chunk yardage early on but will help take a lot of pressure off of Carr and this downfield passing attack.

Overall, the Raiders have another chance to make a real statement on Sunday, going into the bye week sitting at 5-2. The Eagles are not as good a team as Las Vegas, but neither was Chicago, so for the Silver and Black to come away with the victory, they have to stay focused for four quarters, putting Philadelphia away.
