The Las Vegas Raiders have won two straight heading into the bye week, but where do they land in our first installment of the NFL Power Rankings.
When it comes to NFL power rankings, it is hard to get a gauge on just how good a team is until they have a good sample size. With Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season coming to a close, we have a good idea of who the weak and the strong are this season, so it is a good time to start ranking them weekly.
Here, we take our first shot at a 2021 NFL power ranking heading into Week 8 of the season.
The Houston Texans are the worst team in football, and while they may not have the worst record, watching them play will show you there is not much to like about this group. They do have the one win on their resume, but looking at the rest of their schedule, you would be hard-pressed to find another one.
The Detroit Lions are the only winless team left in the NFL, but they have played hard, and nearly beat their former quarterback, Matthew Stafford, this past weekend. Eventually, Dan Campbell is going to lead this team to a victory, but who knows when that is going to happen.
When it comes to quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the Jacksonville Jaguars have something special, and that will go a long way in this franchise finally getting out from being one of the worst in football. However, he is a rookie, and the team around him is bad, as well as banged-up, making Urban Meyer’s debut season as an NFL head coach a disaster.
