Las Vegas Raiders vs Philadelphia Eagles Week 7: Studs and Duds

Studs – Yannick Ngakoue and the Defensive Line

Maxx Crosby has gotten much of the headlines and rightfully so after his incredible performance against Denver, but this week the stats and plaudits will go to Yannick Ngakoue. The recent free-agent addition has been worth every penny for the Raiders and he filled up the stat sheet with a great day against Philadelphia.

Ngakoue finished the game with two passes defended, four tackles, two tackles for loss, two QB hits, and most notably, two sacks as well. It was a dominant performance from the pass rusher and his best game of the season. The defensive line as a whole was excellent as they chased around Jalen Hurts and helped make plays like Quinton Jefferson’s forced fumble to take over the game.

We know coming into the season that the Raiders defensive line had the potential to be the strength of the team and they have shown why that is indeed the case so far this season. They have wreaked havoc on opposing offenses with different players taking star turns and in the case of the Week 7 win, it was Ngakoue’s turn to rack up the sacks and other statistics.

If the defensive line continues to play like this then teams will not be able to key in on one single player and we could see them continue to swing games in favor of the Silver and Black.
