Las Vegas Raiders vs Philadelphia Eagles Week 7: Studs and Duds

Studs – Foster Moreau as The Next Man Up

When the news dropped that Darren Waller was downgraded to questionable on Saturday night, many thought it was just as a precaution. It seemed unlikely that he would sit out given the lack of reporting around his injury but we quickly went from questionable, to a game-time decision, to seeing Waller in street clothes on the sideline.

Fantasy owners might have freaked out a bit but Raiders fans knew it was going to be Foster Moreau’s time to shine.

Moreau has been a great soldier this year since making a full recovery from an ACL tear as he has been a bit-part player in terms of stats but has been in the trenches as the second tight end. Against Philadelphia, he got his moment in the sun as the starter and showed that he is more than capable of filling in for his superstar teammate.

The young tight end ended the way with six receptions on 6 targets for 60 yards and a big boy touchdown over Eagles safety Marcus Epps. Moreau used his massive frame to go over the top of Epps and snag a pass from Derek Carr in the end zone for the Raiders’ first score of the game.

Waller should be back after the bye week but Moreau’s next man up performance just confirmed what Raiders fans already knew about how special of a tight end duo we have on this squad.
