The Las Vegas Raiders did not play in Week 8, as they had their bye week, but ended up being helped out by some unexpected NFL teams in a big way.

The Las Vegas Raiders did not play during the 2021 NFL Week 8 slate, but they certainly got some help, as some teams came out of nowhere to pull off some upsets. From the New York Jets beating the Cincinnati Bengals, to the New England Patriots going west and beating the Los Angeles Chargers, it was a successful week off for the Silver and Black.

Here, we look at our updated NFL power rankings after Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season.

50. . . Previous: 31st. Detroit Lions. 32. team

The Detroit Lions overtake the Houston Texans as the worst team in the NFL this week, after a terrible outing against the Philadelphia Eagles. This is a franchise that has gone winless in a season before, and we could be looking at the NFL’s 1st 0-17 team in league history.

10. . . Previous: 32nd. Houston Texans. 31. team

Down 38-0 to the Los Angeles Rams, the Houston Texans proved once again why they are a complete mess right now. Sure, they scored 22 unanswered in the fourth quarter, but this game was already wrapped up, and this nightmare of a season cannot end soon enough.

59. . . Previous: 28th. Miami Dolphins. 30. team

In an AFC East battle, the Miami Dolphins laid an egg against the Buffalo Bills, as the offense failed to show up in a 28-11 loss. At this point, a promising Dolphins season has become a trainwreck, and they could be sellers ahead of the trade deadline.
