2021 Post-Week 8 NFL Power Rankings: Las Vegas Raiders enjoy the bye week

No. 24 through 20

. . Previous: 19th. Atlanta Falcons. 24. team. 44

The Atlanta Falcons played host to division rival Carolina in Week 8, a Panthers team that was coming off an embarrassing loss at the hands of the New York Giants. It did not matter, as the Falcons looked terrible on offense, suffering one of their worst losses of the season, and are a team in disarray right now.

Minnesota Vikings. 23. team. 60. . . Previous: 18th

The Minnesota Vikings took on a Dak Prescott-less Dallas Cowboys team on Sunday night and played one of their worst games of the season. The Vikings are a team that could be making a move at head coach when all is said and done this season, as there is no way they are catching the Green Bay Packers in the division.

. . Previous: 29th. New York Jets. 22. team. 30

In the most surprising win of the Week 8 slate, the New York Jets played host to one of the best teams in the AFC in the Cincinnati Bengals and came away with the win. The Jets got great play from Mike White, filling in for injured starter Zach Wilson at quarterback, as he made his claim to be the starter the rest of the way.

Carolina Panthers. 21. team. 87. . . Previous: 24th

The Carolina Panthers may have been embarrassed their last time out by the New York Giants, but they took care of business on the road against Atlanta this past weekend. Carolina got great play from their defense as they snapped a four-game losing streak, and have brought their record back to .500.

Philadelphia Eagles. 20. team. 54. . . Previous: 23rd

In one of the more lopsided games of the weekend slate, the Philadelphia Eagles went into Detroit and absolutely drubbed the Lions, 44-6. Jalen Hurts did not have to do much through the air, as the running game accounted for nearly 250 yards, finding the end zone four times, including two from both Boston Scott and Jordan Howard in Miles Sanders’ absence.
