The Jacksonville Jaguars lost against this past weekend, as they went to Seattle and were blown out by Geno Smith and the Seahawks. It has been an embarrassing first season at the helm for Urban Meyer, and you have to wonder if he is going to be one-and-done at the NFL level.
The Washington Football Team went to Denver to take on a Broncos team that has been reeling after a 3-0 start, and they ended up on the wrong side of the outcome. The WFT is struggling on offense, but their defense did play better against Denver, so maybe that is a sign of things to come.
After a blazing 3-0 start where they beat some of the worst teams in football, the Denver Broncos have fallen back to Earth, though they did pick up a solid home win in Week 8. Still, this team is destined to finish at the bottom of the AFC West, as they are just not as talented as the Raiders, Chiefs, and Chargers right now.
The New York Giants resoundingly beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 7 but had a tall task ahead of them in Week 8. That task was beating Patrick Mahomes in primetime on Monday Night Football, a Mahomes that was beaten badly the week before, so the Giants do not move in this week’s ranking.
The Chicago Bears saw some glimpses from quarterback Justin Fields against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, but it was not enough to come away with the victory. In fact, the Bears are a team that seems lost right now, and you can be sure changes are coming either later this season, or in the offseason when it comes to the coaching staff.
