The Las Vegas Raiders were on a bye in Week 8 and we took the time to predict their record in the remaining games of the 2021 NFL schedule.

The Las Vegas Raiders went into the bye week on a two-game win streak thanks to victories over the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles. The Raiders finished strong after losses to the LA Chargers and Chicago Bears in weeks 4 and 5 with one of those losses coming amidst the swirling controversy of the Jon Gruden email scandal.

Thanks to the resilience of the team they were able to bounce back and put themselves in a great position to continue their lead atop the AFC West and as one of the top seeds in the AFC. After the Chargers loss and the Chiefs win in week 8, the Raiders are still sitting pretty and have a one-game lead over the Chargers who had their bye in Week 7.

The Chiefs are still dangerous even at 4-4 but the Raiders just need to handle their own business to make their way into the playoffs. Too often this team has put their destiny in the hands of others and they will need to avoid that this season if they want to prove they are true contenders in the AFC.

The Raiders get a great chance to do that right after the bye week with several big games coming up so let’s discuss how we think they will fare in the second half of their season, starting with a trip to New York.
