With everything going on in the organization, it is easy to lose faith, but at 5-2 and first place, the Raiders still have a great chance to win the AFC West.

The Las Vegas Raiders started the season with big injuries to both of their starting offensive guards. Three weeks later, as the Raiders were 3-1, and Jon Gruden’s emails start getting released.

A week later, Gruden steps down from being the Raiders coach, and despite all the drama imaginable is surrounding the team, they currently sat at 5-2 and atop the AFC West heading into their bye week.

Now, heading into Week 9 of the NFL season, Henry Ruggs III gets is charged with a DUI resulting in a death, and is later released by the team. It is easy to see that the Raiders have had to deal with a ton this season, but so far they have handled all adversity spectacularly, though it remains to be seen how they will react after the Ruggs news.

It is easy to expect the Raiders to fold and struggle down the line, but there is reason to have faith in this team. Let’s take a look at three reasons the Raiders will continue to overcome obstacles and with the AFC West.
