3 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders can still win the AFC West

The Chiefs are struggling

Even with a win this week, it is clear that the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are not the same as previous years. At 4-4, the Chiefs are far from out of contention for the AFC West crown, but when you watch them, they do not appear to be a team to be all that worried about.

Don’t get me wrong, the Chiefs have an insane amount of talent and Patrick Mahomes can turn it around at any time, but the offense continues to not only turn the ball over but give so many opportunities to opposing defenses for turnovers. The defense is also nothing special, and if they continue to struggle to take care of the ball, it would appear that the Raiders are a far better team.

Before the trade deadline, the Chiefs were active on defense, bringing in Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Melvin Ingram. This is a team that has championship DNA, but something is off, and we will get a clear picture as to whether or not the Raiders have bridged the gap between these two franchises next Sunday night in a Week 10 matchup in primetime.
