Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants: 3 bold predictions in Week 9

Clelin Ferrell Gets his First Sack of the Year

Clelin Ferrell has had a much more limited role in 2021, as Yannick Ngakoue has stepped up as the team’s starting defensive end aside Maxx Crosby. But when Ferrell does get into the game, he plays well. He’s a great run defender and he has been able to provide some pressure to the quarterback. He isn’t better than Crosby or Ngakoue, but he is still an important part of the Las Vegas defense.

With the Giants’ heavy reliance on the running attack and use of play-action, Ferrell may see an increased number of snaps during the game. If that’s the case, then there is a real shot that Ferrell nabs his first sack of the season against the Giants. There is no telling when Ferrell would do it, whether it be early in the game or during clutch time, but there is still a chance he leaves New York with one under his belt.
