Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants: 3 keys to victory in 2021 Week 9
Get Darren Waller involved early on
The Las Vegas Raiders were without Darren Waller their last time out, as he sat out the game against the Eagles with an ankle injury. Waller will certainly be back in the fold this weekend against the Giants, and getting him involved early is going to be a key to victory against this Giants defense.
New York has some talented defensive backs, and working the middle of the field with Waller will be a good way for Carr and the passing game to get going. Cornerbacks James Bradberry and Adoree Jackson are a solid duo, and the Giants have good safeties, but a healthy Waller should be able to get his in this matchup.
Overall, Waller could see an uptick in targets, especially with the Raiders playing their first game without Ruggs, and how good the Giants can be on the outside. They had a bend-but-not-break scheme against the Chiefs on Sunday night, and I believe the Giants will employ the same kind of technique against the Raiders in this one.
