Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants: 3 keys to victory in 2021 Week 9

Pressure Daniel Jones

The big difference between this Raiders team and the Raiders teams in the recent past is the fact that they have elite pass rushers at both ends. The combination of Yannick Ngakoue and Maxx Crosby has been outstanding in Year 1 together, and they are only going to get better as they continue to get comfortable with each other.

This weekend, they will be going up against a very beatable Giants offensive line, and they should be able to pressure Daniel Jones all game long. We saw what a good pass rush does to Jones in the Giants’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams, where he was a turnover machine, and the Giants were completely blown out at home.

In this one, the focus has to be getting pressure on Jones from the outset, as they will lead him to make mistakes, which he is prone to do. If the Raiders can force some turnovers, especially early, they should be able to walk out of MetLife Stadium with a sound victory, before heading back home to prepare for a primetime matchup against Kansas City in Week 10.
