Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 9

Derek Carr

As every football fan knows, the quarterback is the face of the organization and is supposed to be the ultimate leader of the team, and this year will surely test Derek Carr’s leadership.  Despite the earlier drama this year, and losing the only head coach or play caller that he had had some continuity with, Carr has been playing at an MVP level and is looked at as one of the top quarterbacks in the league right now.

But Carr and the entire team got the shock of a lifetime yesterday and now has to lead a team through two unprecedented incidents.  This will not only test the resiliency of Carr and the rest of the team, but it will test just how focused this team is on the goals that they set out for themselves at the beginning of the season.

This is as strange a season as I can remember, and it has been riddled with disappointments, highs, lows, and now a tragedy. Carr is the perfect person to be leading this Raiders team this season, and he has shown his leadership time and time again.

He knows the Silver and Black have a job to do on Sunday, and I believe he is going to go off against the Giants.
