3 reasonable expectations for the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9
Darren Waller gets ten targets
In their last time out, the Las Vegas Raiders took on the Philadelphia Eagles without their star tight end, Darren Waller, as he missed the game with an ankle injury. Waller is by far the best weapon on the Raiders offense, and while there have been some games where he lacked targets, this will not be one of them.
Waller is coming off two weeks off, after the injury and the bye week, and should be ready to absolutely explode against the Giants. He is one of the bigger mismatches in all of football, and with Ruggs gone, you can be sure that Carr is going to focus on those he trusts, like Waller and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow.
Las Vegas is going to go into this game with a game plan to get Waller going early and often, and that should soften what should be a tough defensive backfield for New York. Waller may not get to the 19 targets he had in Week 1 against Baltimore, but do not be surprised if Carr looks his way ten-plus times in this one.
