Damon Arnette

I know that Damon Arnette is injured and is currently on the IR, and if he wasn’t, he likely would have played more snaps this season, but with what we were shown in the first four weeks of the season, he deserves to be on this list, especially as a first-round pick just a year ago.

In Week 1, Arnette played one snap against the Ravens, with no explanation given. It was clear that the coaching staff believed that the team was better without him on the field. The next three weeks, he played between 24-30% of the defensive snaps, still way too low of a number for the team’s first-round pick in 2020, and did not contribute much at all when he was on the field.

So far, Arnette has not done much to impress either the Raiders fans or his coaches, and his time on the IR surely is not going to work in his favor with how well his replacements have been playing. To make matters worse, a horrifying video was circulating on social media on Friday night of him brandishing a gun and threatening someone, which could result in serious discipline down the road.
