2021 Post-Week 9 NFL Power Rankings: Las Vegas Raiders fall from top-10?
No. 28 through 24
The Washington Football Team was another lowly team that was on their bye week, and they sat there and saw the New York Giants beat the Las Vegas Raiders, sending them into last place in the NFC East. It is going to be a long season for the WFT, who will now have to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming out of the bye week.
Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears played the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, and many felt they were robbed in the two-point loss on the road. One thing is for sure, Fields looked like an absolute star under the bright lights of Monday Night Football, giving this franchise some hope moving forward.
In the biggest upset on the Week 9 slate, the Jacksonville Jaguars played host to the Buffalo Bills and picked up the win, although in ugly fashion. The 9-6 victory was by far the biggest of Urban Meyer’s NFL coaching career and moved the Jags to 2-3 at home this season.
It appears that things have gone off the rails for the San Francisco 49ers, who were beaten by an Arizona Cardinals team without Kyler Murray or DeAndre Hopkins this past weekend. This is a franchise in disarray, and you have to think that the permanent move to Trey Lance could be on the horizon.
The move for Sam Darnold as the franchise quarterback for the Carolina Panthers looks like a big mistake, as he tossed three interceptions in a loss on Sunday. Darnold and the Panthers are the worst team in the NFC South right now and could be a long way away from being a contender in the division.
