The offensive line is improving

Heading into the 2021 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders made wholesale changes along their offensive line. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock traded away the likes of Gabe Jackson and Trent Brown, good players, but also players who battled injuries and inconsistent play during their time in the Silver and Black.

One player who always excelled, and was also traded this offseason, was Rodney Hudson, by far their best offensive lineman, and the best center in football. The loss of Hudson proved huge early on, as Andre James struggled mightily, and looked like a big mistake giving him the honors of replacing a legend in Hudson.

However, since moving rookie tackle Alex Leatherwood to guard, and starting Brandon Parker, this team has looked better, as has the play of James. He was an absolute menace against the New York Giants this past weekend and has become an anchor in the middle of this offensive line, and I believe they will control the line of scrimmage against this Chiefs defensive line this weekend.
