Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs: 3 Bold Predictions in Week 10

Bold Prediction #2: Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue combine for at least four sacks

Before the 2021-22 NFL season began, Yannick Ngakoue made a bold statement. He said, confidently I might add, that he and Maxx Crosby were the best pass-rushing duo “that’s going to come hit the scene”.

Many people scoffed.

Now, during the tenth week of the NFL season, Crosby and Ngakoue are ranked first and twelfth, respectively, in quarterback pressures and are both in the top three of “get-off speed” at the snap.

Crosby is having a Defensive Player of the Year type season, and Ngakoue is a consistent force coming off the edge.

This is all bad news for the Chiefs.

After completely re-tooling their offensive line this offseason, the Chiefs have struggled with keeping Patrick Mahomes in a clean pocket. While he has only been sacked 17 times this season, he has been consistently pressured and hit.

Look for the Raiders to be able to bring Mahomes down more than other teams have been, as they will be able to hold up on the back end even while rushing Mahomes, considering they rarely blitz.

Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue will wreak havoc for Kansas City on Sunday night and total of four or more sacks combined.
