On paper, the Raiders should win rather easily. They have a better and more efficient offense this season, and a much, much better defense.
Even last season, before the Chiefs began to really struggle, the Raiders were the only team to beat Patrick Mahomes in the regular season. In fact, they almost did it twice.
The Chiefs, though, even if they have not looked like it, are still the Chiefs. We are all anticipating a Chiefs breakout game every single week. They still have the best quarterback in football.
If the Chiefs put forty points up on Sunday, nobody would be surprised.
At some point, however, things just become too broken to fix in one week. The Chiefs looked awful in a win last week, as they scraped past Jordan Love and the Packers in his NFL debut. Their offense showed no signs of getting out of this funk. The defense looked slightly better than weeks past, but Love was not much of a test.
