The Las Vegas Raiders have improved in a big way in terms of the pass rush, and they could be in for a big game against Kansas City in Week 10.

Anytime the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs get together it is a big game, especially with both teams trying to get to the top of the AFC West. Kansas City has not looked like their dominant self this season and going into the Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 10, the Raiders have a big advantage when it comes to the pass rush.

On Friday, it was announced that Mike Remmers and Lucas Niang would not play, Remmers with a knee injury, and Niang with a rib issue. That means Andrew Wylie will start for the Chiefs at right tackle, which could play right into one of the strengths of this Raiders defense.

Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue are one of the best pass rush duos in the NFL, and on Sunday night, they could be in for a big game against a banged-up Chiefs offensive line. Patrick Mahomes has struggled under pressure, as we saw in the Super Bowl, and at times this season, something that could lead to some forced throws and turnovers.

Raiders looking to establish themselves as a legitimate playoff contender

With a win against Kansas City in Week 10, the Raiders would move to 2-1 in the division, and they would also keep pace with the Los Angeles Chargers. Also, it would further hammer the Chiefs into the cellar of the division, a place they are currently tied with the Denver Broncos in.

Coming off a bad loss to New York, and heading home, the Raiders could make a real statement in primetime, showing the rest of the NFL that the off-the-field issues are not going to get in the way of a playoff push. The Raiders have improved in a big way on the defensive side of the ball, something the previous years’ teams were missing, and their pass rush should be on full display against Kansas City Sunday night.

Las Vegas has been through a lot this season, but they are currently 5-3, and if the season ended tomorrow, they would be a playoff team. On Sunday night, they can prove they are a legitimate playoff team, beating down a team that has owned them for some time now.
