Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Chiefs in Week 10

Raiders starting nickel cornerback Nate Hobbs will be tested

Similar to Trevon Moehrig, cornerback Nate Hobbs has been a godsend to the Las Vegas organization. Hobbs earned the starting nickel cornerback gig in Week 1 and has not looked back.

The Raiders’ 2021 5th round pick has shown that he does more than just belong on an NFL field, but that he also thrives. As the nickel, he plays in space against some of the NFL’s quickest slot receivers. As we all know, the Kansas City Chiefs possess one of the fastest players in the league in Tyreek Hill.

In fact, out of 508 total snaps for the Chiefs’ speedster, Hill has aligned from the slot receiver position 266 times. That is 29 times more than him from aligning from a wide position on the season. The rookie nickel corner has a tall order, but he undoubtedly possesses the means and confidence to embrace the challenge. The Silver and Black’s defense is in an ideal position to give Andy Reid’s offense a challenge, and the same could be said about the Raiders’ offense.
