Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Chiefs in Week 10

The Raiders cannot abandon the run game, no matter the score

The Silver and Black struggle this season is inconsistent support in terms of the rushing attack. For example, last week, Las Vegas ran well and effectively in the first half against the Giants. However, when the score did not appear in their favor in the second half, the team seemed as if they were unable and unwilling to run the football.

Simply put, when you have liabilities on your offensive front in terms of pass protection, you cannot afford to place more pressure on them down the stretch. Therefore, regardless of who the running back is, the team must put a heavier commitment to keeping a balanced attack. Otherwise, it spells doom no matter who they are against.

Subsequently, the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the league’s worst rush defenses.

They allow 7.5 net yards per rushing attempt, only better than the Detroit Lions. Therefore, regardless of who the running back is, it is time for the team to get the rushing attack rolling in 2021. Should they do that and the other aforementioned above, they will be in a favorable position to defeat their AFC West opponent.
