Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs: 3 things we learned in Week 10

Mistakes are almost impossible to overcome

This was still a game right after halftime, with the Raiders scoring a touchdown to open the second half, though Kansas City answered right back with a score of their own.  Derek Carr then hit Bryan Edwards for a big gain down the field, and then on the next play, threw it deep to DeSean Jackson.

Unfortunately, Jackson immediately forgot which way he was supposed to run, and ended up running into a Chiefs defender who punched it out and gave the ball back to Kansas City, who promptly scored on the ensuing drive.

That would prove to be a turning point in the game, as Carr was intercepted on the next possession, which led to a field goal by the Chiefs. It seemed like all game when the Chiefs needed a big play, they got one, and even when it looked like the Raiders were in a position to make a play, like Tre’Von Moehrig’s dropped interception, they could not get the job done.

Both the offensive and defensive lines struggled with focus and composure, both getting flagged multiple times for both false starts and offsides penalties, despite being the home team.  Maxx Crosby even got flagged for a personal foul.
