Las Vegas Raiders: 3 defensive takeaways from 2021 Week 10

The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a disappointing blowout loss Sunday Night against the Kansas City Chiefs, 44-14, losing their second game in a row.
The Las Vegas Raiders offense did the defense no favors for the second week in a row, only putting up 14 points, but that definitely does not excuse the putrid display put on by the defensive side of the ball. It looked like the Raiders’ defense of old, as Patrick Mahomes carved them up inside their new building.
Before this game, the Raiders defense hadn’t allowed a team to throw for over 300 yards all but once, but the run defense has been the weak spot, ranking near the bottom quarter of the league. In this game, it did not matter, as the Chiefs were able to do pretty much whatever they wanted against this Raiders defense.
It may seem the run defense turned that around this week based on the statistics, however, if you watched the game you would know that wasn’t necessarily the case. The defense as a whole played poorly, which should be obvious, but let us look at how each line of defense (defensive line, linebackers, secondary) fared as individual units.
