The Las Vegas Raiders defense had by far their worst game of the season in a 41-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

The Las Vegas Raiders defense has been great this season in certain aspects, and average in others, but that’s all fans have been asking for in the 2021 season.  This Sunday, the Raiders went back to their 2020 form, giving up 40 points, the most in any game this season, and 400 yards, and five touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes.

The group allowed also running back to go over 100 yards receiving, and once again got killed by Travis Kelce.

As frustrating as Sunday Night’s loss was, the Raiders are not only still in the Wild Card race, but still are only one game behind the Chiefs in the division with another game against them.  The defense needs to figure it out quick, because coming up these next two weeks are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys both have dangerous offenses, and the Cowboys game will be on a short week with it being on Thanksgiving.

I truly believe this game against the Chiefs was more of an aberration then what the Raiders defense will be for the rest of the season, but let’s take one last look at the Raiders matchup against the Chiefs and give out some defensive grades before turning the page to Cincinnati.
