Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Cincinnati Bengals to Worry About in Week 11
Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Cincinnati Bengals to Worry About in Week 11
Ja’Marr Chase
One of the most surprising decisions in this year’s draft was the Bengals opting to draft LSU superstar Ja’Marr Chase instead of getting Joe Burrow some offensive line help. Needless to say, it couldn’t have worked out any better in their favor.
Chase has been absolutely unstoppable this year amassing 835 yards, 7 touchdowns, and averaging 19 yards per reception. He’s only had one game where his longest reception was less than 34 yards and that was week two. His longest, 82 yards, was against the Ravens where he blew up for 8 catches on 10 targets, 201 yards, and a touchdown.
It is going to be very tough for the Raiders to figure out how they are going to try and defend not only Chase but Tee Higgins as well. Luckily for Las Vegas, Brandon Facyson has been very good since replacing Trayvon Mullen due to injury. He and Casey Hayward have been quite reliable in coverage since playing opposite of each other.
This week however they face what might be the most talented tandem at wide receiver on the schedule so far. The Raiders’ success in shutting down this high-powered offense will undoubtedly directly correspond with the type of production the Bengals see from their star rookie wide receiver.
