Derek Carrier, Tight End

This season, we have seen what we needed to from Foster Moreau, a young tight end who is finally sliding into the TE2 role now that Jason Witten is not on the team. Sure, Darren Waller is an absolute star, and he is one of the best players in the league at his position, but Moreau should be rated as one of the best second-options at tight end in the NFL as well.

That would leave Derek Carrier on the outside looking in next season, and while he is a solid run blocker, and can occasionally make a play in the passing game, the Raiders should look to replace him. They could get a late-round tight end in the NFL Draft, or bring back a player like Nick Bowers to work as that third tight end.

Either way, Carrier is a guy who had a solid run in the Silver and Black but should not figure into the long-term plans for the franchise at this position group. The combination of Waller and Moreau is one of the best in the league, and no matter who TE3 is next season, they do not figure to see a ton of playing time behind those two guys.
