Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Cowboys in Week 12

The Raiders run defense will have their hands full on Thursday

The Dallas Cowboys will be without starting wide receiver Amari Cooper due to Covid-19. In addition, second-year receiver CeeDee Lamb’s status is officially questionable as he is in concussion protocols following last week’s contest versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Some may see their absences as a benefit to the Las Vegas Raiders; however, that could not be further from the truth. Dallas possesses the league’s best running back duo in Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard, and the Raiders have a bottom five-run defense in the NFL.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the Cowboys will be looking to pound the rock especially considering that All-Pro caliber offensive tackle Tyron Smith will more than likely be returning after missing last week’s action. Additionally, while Raiders’ linebacker Denzel Perryman has been a godsend for the team’s run defense, his teammates must elevate their play to combat the run.
