Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Cowboys in Week 12
By CJ Errickson
The Las Vegas Raiders season hangs in the balance, and the Derek Carr-led offense must come alive against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Las Vegas Raiders offense is misfiring at the wrong time, considering that the NFL playoffs are right around the corner. Say what you will about existential circumstances, but, unfortunately, the NFL is a proverbial tidal wave.
You either find a way to survive, or you get swept away in the carnage. In recent weeks, the Raiders offense is currently sinking rapidly, as they have failed to score over twenty points in three straight contests. That cannot continue, more specifically, on Thanksgiving Day versus a Dallas Cowboys offense that will undoubtedly be looking to get back on track after last week’s loss versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
For Las Vegas, the offense can only get back into rhythm on the arm of one man.
Raiders QB Derek Carr is in a funk, and if it continues on Thursday, the team doesn’t stand a chance of winning
The NFL is a passing-driven league, and as Derek Carr performed exceptionally well in the first half of the season, so did the Silver and Black. Subsequently, the team enjoyed a 5-2 start as the Las Vegas starter slung the football around with ease at times.
However, since Week 9, his production has seen a significant drop-off.
While his regression is not entirely his fault, he cannot be absolved from blame regarding the team’s offensive woes considering that he is an eight-year veteran at the quarterback position and the team’s leader. With that being said, here are some ways the offense and Derek can get rectify their woes on Thanksgiving Day.
