Las Vegas Raiders at Dallas Cowboys: 3 Surprises in Week 12
Play of Johnathan Abram
Since taking over as general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, Mike Mayock has had a lot of misses in terms of the team’s first-round picks. From Henry Ruggs III to Damon Arnette, to even Clelin Ferrell, Las Vegas’ first-rounders for the most part have been a disappointment, including safety Johnathan Abram.
However, Abram played well in this one, finishing the game as the team leader in tackles, with ten total, including seven that were of the solo variety. He was flying all over the field, played some of the best football we have seen out of him in some time, and his stop on the Cowboys’ two-point try ended up being a huge play in terms of the outcome.
This was the kind of win that can help get this Raiders team back on the right track, and possibly make a playoff run. It has been a long time since the Raiders were a playoff contender late in the season, and with the Washington Football Team coming up at home, with the WFT on a short week, a two-game win streak is certainly a possibility.
