Raiders at Cowboys: Offensive Grades for 2021 Week 12

Quarterback

Derek Carr threw for over 300 yards for the sixth time this season, which seems to be the key to success for the Raiders offense, considering they have come up with a win in all of those contests where he has done so.

The 8th year veteran finished the game completing 24-of-39 of his passes for 373 yards and a touchdown. Carr also tucked it and ran a couple of times rushing for 21 yards.

Speaking of running, Derek Carr utilized his legs well in the passing game, sensing pressure and rolling out to the outside instead of getting happy feet and panicking, which resulted in first downs on plays that were broken due to good coverage by the defense.

Even without the Raider’s go-to target in Darren Waller who went out with an injury in the first half, Derek Carr was able to spread the ball around getting everybody involved, with 8 different Raiders finishing with at least a single reception.

Derek Carr will almost surely surpass his career-high in passings yards this season, even if he struggles for the remainder, but if the Raiders as a whole are to have even a smidgen of hope for the playoffs, he will need to play like this week in and week out, so let’s hope he does.
