Raiders at Cowboys: Offensive Grades for 2021 Week 12
Tight End
The Raiders star tight end Darren Waller had 2 catches on 5 targets for 33 yards before leaving the game with a knee injury in the first half which would keep him out the remainder of the game. Thankfully, the injury does not appear to be serious and with a long week’s rest before the next outing, Waller has a chance to suit up against Washington.
With Waller out, it was up to the third-year veteran Foster Moreau to come in and fill his shoes and he did not take advantage. Moreau finished with a single reception for three yards on five targets.
Moreau isn’t known for being a dynamic receiver, but he is known for being a good blocker with solid hands as well as a threat in the RedZone. Well on Thursday Moreau had a couple of drops, and was a non-factor in the passing game.
That didn’t matter, however, as the Raiders receiving core stepped up and didn’t let the absence of Carr’s favorite target hinder the offense’s effectiveness.
It’s hard to grade this here, considering Moreau isn’t expected to be a huge playmaker in the passing game, though it doesn’t change the fact that he didn’t take advantage of the opportunities he did have.
Grade: D
