Raiders at Dallas Cowboys: Studs and Duds from 2021 Week 12

Stud: Daniel Carlson

Daniel Carlson had a perfect game against the Cowboys, kicking five total field goals and three extra points, including a 56 yarder, which was a career-high. In the end, it was his 29-yard field goal that proved to be the game-winner in overtime, capping a standout game for the young kicker from Auburn.

Carlson had been having a good season with some misses on both field goals and extra points this year, and those misses have proven to be costly, but Carlson was nails in this game, and the Raiders needed every single point Carlson provided for them.

It’s never good when your kicker has to kick so many field goals in a game, but it’s good knowing that the Raiders have the most reliable kicker they have had since Sebastian Janikowski was a Raiders. Carlson is an impending free agent and must be brought back as a high priority this offseason.
