Las Vegas Raiders vs Washington Football Team: 3 things to watch in Week 13

Derek Carr vs the Washington Defense

The Washington Football team, for some peculiar reason, tends to always field a strong defense, however, this season is not the case. And now, with their top pass rusher, Chase Young shelved for the season, the odds should be in Raiders quarterback Derek Carr’s favor.

Carr, leading the league in passing yards is facing a team that is one of the worst in defending the pass. The Redskins are allowing 270 passing yards on average, and now facing the top dog in yardage in Carr, this trend should continue.

The Raiders captain found his rhythm again in Week 12, after three disappointing outings prior, and with speedy recent acquisition DeSean Jackson finding his footing with not just Carr, but what seems like the Raider playbook, Carr might have finally found his replacement in Henry Ruggs. Las Vegas has been one of the more up and down teams this season, but against a foe in Washington who struggle so heavily against the pass, expect Carr to show exactly why he is leading the league in passing yards.
