Las Vegas Raiders vs Washington Football Team: 3 things to watch in Week 13

Can the Raiders keep up with the Washington Running Backs?

The Raiders allowed almost 400 passing yards to a Cowboys team last week missing two of their top wideout options. However, this has not been the Raiders’ biggest issue this season on defense.

It has been stopping the run, which for what seems like the first time in ages, the Raiders were able to overcome against the potent one-two combo of the Cowboys in Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliot.

After allowing only 61 rushing yards to the combo, they will now face off against one of the top running backs in the division in Antonio Gibson. The second-year back has not set the world ablaze as his lofty expectations going into the season would have suggested, but he is still a very dangerous player, who excels in running between the tackles and is a formidable threat in receiving as well.

Adding an even more difficult dimension to stop in the Washington offense is another back in J.D. McKissic. He may not offer much in terms of rushing, but the back is a receiving specialist and has thrived with Washington in this role, in which he has been a difficult task week-by-week to stop for all opposing defenses.

The one-two punch of these two might even be a more daunting task than the Cowboys from the previous week. The Raiders being able to keep up with these two backs will surely be something to keep an eye on come Sunday.
