5 things to blame if the Raiders do not make the playoffs again
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders are sitting at 6-5, and have a real chance of making the playoffs, but if they do not, you can likely blame these five things.
On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders will battle it out against the Washington Football Team in a matchup of two teams looking to make it to the playoffs. Currently, the WFT is the No. 7 seed in the NFC, which means they are in, while the Raiders are No. 8 in the AFC, and on the outside looking in.
With a win against the WFT, the Raiders put themselves in the thick of things heading into a rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14. They have a legitimate chance to get to the playoffs this season but have faltered down the stretch the last two years, something they must avoid after a strong start to the 2021 campaign.
Here, we look at five things to blame if the Raiders miss out on the playoffs.

Injury to Darren Waller
During their game against Dallas, the Raiders lost a key player to a knee injury, as tight end Darren Waller went down in what looked like a season-ending injury. Luckily, the injury was not as bad as it looked, but he is still on the shelf, something that is going to affect this offense moving forward.
Currently, Waller is considered week-to-week, but any time he misses is going to hurt this franchise’s chances of making the postseason. The hope is, he will be back in action sooner than later, especially with the Chiefs on deck next week.
