Raiders: Keys to victory against the WFT in Week 13
Keying on these players
QB, Taylor Heinicke
The term ‘backup quarterback’ only applies to the WFT starter by name. Taylor Heinicke has been the heart and soul of the team’s current three-game winning streak. Heinicke can and will rally his team to victory no matter the circumstances, as he is one of the league’s fiercest competitors at any position.
WR, Terry McLaurin
WFT wide receiver Terry McLaurin is one of the best receivers in the league that does not get enough credit in some circles. He is a master of making big catches in traffic and can take the top off of opposing defenses in a heartbeat.
His stats may not compare to the NFL’s top receivers, but he is still very much so an impact player and leader for Washington.
Tight End, Logan Thomas
Last but certainly not least is the tight end, Logan Thomas. Tight ends have plagued the Silver and Black’s defense this season, as they rank in the bottom five for yards (723) and touchdowns (8) allowed. Despite being activated off injured reserve before last week’s contest versus the Seattle Seahawks, Thomas nearly put the game out of reach late in the 4th quarter. However, regardless of the incompletion, he is back and is clearly ready to make a difference.
Overall, this game will more than likely be a close contest, and it may come down to both teams’ special team units.
