Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Washington Football Team in Week 13
Offensive Line
The Washington Football Team had one of the most dangerous defensive lines heading into this season. Fast forward to Week 13, and they are now without both starting defensive ends Chase Young and Montez Sweat, who are both now injured.
With them out, the focus would seem to solely be on the strong one-two combo of defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne. The defensive tackles are a very disruptive force, especially Allen, who is entering the contest with six sacks. The offensive line for the Raiders has been very inconsistent this season and has not been one of the stronger positions for the Raiders thus far.
The excuse against this Washington team should not be had, as the team is heavily banged up, and although they do hold some talent on this defense, the offensive line for the Raiders should and will need to stand strong for the Raiders to win this game. The running game has been nearly deceased this season for the Raiders, and in a matchup with such a banged-up defensive line, hopefully, the interior can finally open up some holes against a depleted defensive line.
Look for the Raiders offensive line to either allow Carr time to throw, and Jacobs to find some much-needed holes, or the opposite for both. Whatever the case, this line will be a major X-Factor in what needs to be a much-needed Raider victory at home.
