Raiders 7-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas goes WR in first

. Wide Receiver. Buckeyes . Garrett Wilson. 18. player. 812

The 2021 NFL season was supposed to be the season where the Raiders finally figured out what they have at wide receiver, and early on, it looked like that would be the case. Former first-round pick Henry Ruggs III was becoming a star in the league, Bryan Edwards was making crucial plays late, and Hunter Renfrow was his normal, dependable self.

Well, everything changed during the bye week, and as the team looks forward, they could be in the market for another first-round wide receiver in 2022. The way this mock shook out, the Raiders were picking at No. 18 with the opportunity to select Garrett Wilson from Ohio State, and they do not pass up on a player like that.

As we saw in the Michigan game, Wilson is a playmaker and can make plays over the middle, and deep in coverage. He would slide in as the No. 1 wideout in Las Vegas, with Edwards as the No. 2, and Renfrow in the slot, giving the team three good, young wideouts to build the passing game around as complements to Darren Waller.
