Las Vegas Raiders vs Washington Football Team: 3 bold predictions in Week 13
Bold Prediction 2: Foster Moreau gets in the endzone — twice
The Raiders will likely be without, arguably, their best offensive weapon on Sunday in Darren Waller. Waller suffered a strained IT band in his knee in last week’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, leaving the contest in the second quarter.
In steps Foster Moreau.
Las Vegas found a gem in Moreau in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, selecting him out of LSU. While he was selected to play more of a role in the blocking aspect of the tight end position, he has surprised everyone with his superb receiving skills.
Regardless of how few targets he receives, due to Darren Waller being a top-three player at the position, Moreau finds a way to make an impact. He has racked up 135 yards and three touchdowns this season, despite only being targeted 19 times all year.
In Week 7, when Waller was sidelined against the Eagles, Moreau showed what he could do as a featured tight end. The former LSU Tiger hauled in six out of six targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. This week, by all accounts, Moreau will have a similar opportunity.
The Washington Football Team is very average when it comes to defending tight ends, allowing the 12th most yards and 17th most touchdowns to opposing tight ends.
Combine all of these factors and consider how much Derek Carr loves throwing to the big tight end in the red zone, and it adds up to Foster Moreau finding paydirt not once on Sunday, but twice.
