Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: 3 things to watch in Week 14

1. Patrick Mahomes

After starting the season un-Chief-like, the defending AFC champions looked lethargic and possibly “figured out” the league over. The team’s decline was rapid week-to-week and bizarre as star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was off to a horrid start, one which we had never seen.

His usual play was dominant and placed him among the league’s elite. This year Mahomes was having issues with interceptions and finding the end zone, and although he seems to be returning to form as of late, he is still not looking like his commanding self. Despite this, his best game of course came against the Silver and Black when he went for over 400 yards and five passing touchdowns.

The Raiders must figure out a way to get in the face of Mahomes, he has been a Raider killer for years now, but the Raiders, to have any shot at unlikely winning this division or staying in the playoff hunt, must first and foremost stop the former MVP. It is an easier said than done task, but if he puts up even nearly half the numbers he did the last time he faced the Raiders, this game will get ugly and fast.
