The Las Vegas Raiders took on the Washington Football Team at home in Week 13, and here are three things we learned in the 17-15 loss.

The Las Vegas Raiders needed a win in the worst way against the Washington Football Team, and they were unable to take care of business. The 17-15 loss was a microcosm of the season for the Silver and Black, as they were inept when it mattered and failed to play well on both sides of the ball.

Here, we look at some things we learned in the loss.

This is not a playoff team

The Las Vegas Raiders got off to a blazing start to the 2021 NFL season, going 3-0 across their first three games, and then went into their bye week with a 5-2 record. That was supposed to be where this team takes off and becomes a playoff contender, as they had a winnable road game in New Jersey against the New York Giants, and two straight home games against Kansas City and Cincinnati.

Well, we all know what happened during the bye week, and once the games picked back up, the Raiders looked lost, losing three straight. That would set up a Thanksgiving matchup with Dallas with the potential to go under .500, but they fought through, winning the game on the road, and boosting their playoff chances.

On Sunday, that came crashing down, as they lost at home to Washington in embarrassing fashion. Due to the injuries, off-the-field stuff, inconsistent play, and interim head coach, the fact is, this team is not a playoff-caliber team, and it could get ugly here as we close out the 2021 campaign.

I sure do hope I am wrong.
