Raiders vs Washington Football Team: 3 things we learned in Week 13
Raiders defensive rookies had a solid day
Now, we will turn to the bright side of the loss on Sunday, though it may seem very hard to do. While Alex Leatherwood continued his struggles on offense, the defensive rookies for the Silver and Black really stood out, outside of Trevon Moehrig dropping a sure interception.
Divine Deablo played his first real minutes and did an outstanding job, racking up 11 tackles, and Malcolm Koonce was able to get his first NFL sack. Star cornerback Nate Hobbs continued his stellar play and is looking like a steal from this 2021 NFL Draft, as these four players at least gave Raiders fans something to look forward to going forward.
When all is said and done, this is a game that the Raiders needed to have, and the loss is going to prove devastating to their playoff hopes. Las Vegas has a tough road ahead and based on how they have played, the current injuries, and the schedule, the potential of a below .500 record is a real possibility.
