Dabo or Harbaugh? Who is the better fit to be the next Raiders head coach?

The Case for Jim Harbaugh

Many years ago, before bringing in Jack Del Rio, it was rumored that Las Vegas was interested in bringing in Jim Harbaugh as the head coach. He inevitably ended up as the coach of Michigan, and the Las Vegas brought in Del Rio. Currently, though, Harbaugh has been linked to Las Vegas by ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler.

Harbaugh, unlike Dabo, has had a career of struggles at the collegiate level, At Michigan, Harbaugh has posted a record of 61-23 and has never made the college football playoffs. This season, he has been able to bounce back, earning the team the number one rank in all of college football.

It remains to be seen whether or not he can lead his team to a National Championship title, but it’s still has been impressive to see Harbaugh and Michigan take control of the NCAA.

Before he went to Michigan, Harbaugh led the San Francisco 49ers to an NFC Champions title and to the Super Bowl. He wasn’t able to win the big game, but it’s still an impressive feat nonetheless. Harbaugh’s worst season was in 2014 when he finished 8-8. That’s not great, but he still kept the team at .500 and gave them three winning seasons prior.

If Mark Davis is serious about pursuing Harbaugh, then it could potentially be a good fit. Harbaugh is aggressive, has NFL playoff experience, and is a good leader. A young and hungry Las Vegas could use a presence like Harbaugh to point them in the right direction.
