5 2022 free agents the Las Vegas Raiders must go after this offseason

No. 2: Brandon Scherff, Offensive Guard

Last offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders shocked the NFL landscape when they pretty much revamped their entire offensive line. The Silver and Black traded away starters in Gabe Jackson and Trent Brown, while also sending the best player at his position, center Rodney Hudson, away in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals.

It was a head-scratching move at the time and based on how the Raiders have played up front along the offensive line this season, it is a head-scratching move still. Going into the next offseason, the plan has to be to let Richie Incognito walk, as he can never stay healthy, and try to figure out another way to round out this line going into 2022.

One answer to the Raiders’ problems could be Brandon Scherff, who is a four-time Pro Bowl player, and a two-time First-Team All-Pro at guard. A former Outland Trophy winner at Iowa, Scherff would be an excellent addition to the interior of the offensive line in Las Vegas, helping in the development of center Andre James, while hopefully adding to his already impressive resume.
